DISGUST and disappointment at Grey Owl Spur

It is with great DISGUST and disappointment how Grey Owl Spur treated me and my family last week while on an evening out.

We arrived at Spur just before 9 PM evening only to find out we were the only customers in the restaurant at that time. That did not detour us, so we sat and placed our order with the staff member (Lindiwe Majola). After a few minutes another staff member (lady) came to our table and said she wants to confirm our order as her colleague did not note our order down correctly & was confused.

5minutes later I ask another staff member who kept staring at me and my sister in an uncomfortable manner, to provide us with lemon water while we wait for our order. He brought the water dripping and unpresentable as the hot water mug was, I asked for serviattes to wipe the mugs and it was like he saw an opportunity to talk to us. He (Pride) started off by complimenting me & my sister of our beauty and how is he could, he would like to be more than a stranger to either me or my sister. I immediately felt he was out of line and politely asked him to stop making such comments as we are Client who came to have a meal and nothing else. This spur staff member did not take my request serious and started making derogatory comments towards us and my daughter (9 years old) was playing not too far off from our table.

Just as I was getting frustrated with this “Pride” stuff member, then our order arrives and it was wrong and the lady has watery snot dripping onto one of the plates-it looked like she had flu on the night. So I got frustrated by this guy who still was standing there and continuing talking derogatory comments and my food (wrong order) was being moisturized with snot right in front of my eyes.

I then excused myself from the table and asked my family to leave and I went to the front desk and informed the Supervisor of what had transpired and I informed them how disgusted and disappointed I was at the service and the derogatory comments made by Pride. I left my contact details and left the restuarant with my family.

This is an unacceptable behavior by Spur Staff.

How does Spur train their staff, is this a reflection of what the brand stands for???
