Disappointing Food and Service
My boyfriend and I went to Spur Wingtip to have steak, it is just around the corner from our home, literally, and we thought we would try the new Spur.My 200g steak was a disappointment. It was overdone (Medium requested), and it had no flavor. The lazy aged steak was flat and sinewy. Our plates arrived with no garnish and felt very slapped on.I had asked for a salad with my steak, thinking, as one does, that you can go to the salad valley to get the salad.I was given a bowl of salad with my steak. I cant eat carrots, as I have orthodontic work, I don't like green peppers and I prefer not to eat raw onion. My salad, that which I would eat, in summary was some leaves and about 3 cherry tomatoes. The doors were wide open allowing two flies to continually annoy us, our waiter only refilled our drinks when we got our food - but the glasses stood empty for almost 5 minutes. I am dissapointed by Spur Wingtip and will continue to give my patronage to Kolonade, even though it is further away.
Thank you for taking the time to share your recent visit to Eagle Wing Spur with us. We are sorry to read that you were disappointed with your meals and assure you that your complaint will be brought to the attention of the owner/operator of this Spur.
We no longer serve garnish on plates (unless the customer specifically asks for it) as we were throwing away huge amounts of garnish daily throughout the Spur branches. As for the salad valley, we have not had these open salad stations for many years now as food hygiene is important to us and research showed that these salad stations were not ideal.
As mentioned, we will share your feedback with the owner/operator of this Spur who will be in touch with you to provide feedback shortly. Thank you once again for allowing us to get involved and assist,
Kind regards
