Desperate Customer

I asked my husband to go to Spar in Port St John's on 02-12-2019 to buy fresh garlic. When I got to the French produce section in the where the garlic usually is kept the there was only a lot of old garlic leaves and a few 3-4 small garlic cloves. I approached the lady tending the fresh produce department asking her if there was any other garlic. Her answer was "no sorry". I subsequently had to buy the garlic in all desperation as I needed it for a function. In the store I could see the garlic didn't look fresh BUT to my horror when I got home and I started peeling the garlic it was black, soft, shriveled. Disgusting is the most appropriate word that comes to mind.

The Spar in Port St John's is truly dragging the Spar brand through the mud. This is not the first complaint for this particular store.

On 24-11-2019 we were forced to leave our shopping from other shops at Spar's parcel counter. "4th complaint about the same problem" after all the complaints NOTHING has been done. There still isn't any cards or other proof of leaving your parcels. The staff member doesn't wear a uniform or any form if identification that he works for Spar. And when you return to collect your parcels you get asked for something to eat or drink. PAY YOUR STAFF MORE THEN THEY WOULD NOT HAVE TO BEG CUSTOMERS FOR FOOD.

I personally have had two other complaints with regards to other products in the store. In my opinion the biggest problem in the store is the Management. The staff are friendly and very helpfull but the Management even effects the staff's moral to the extent that they complain to members of the public.

For the past few months we only go into Spar if we really have no other choice and we try our best to avoid the Management "Nazeem and Tony".

How do you avoid a store when most of the Supermarkets, Wholesalers, Furniture Stores and Hardwares belong to the same people.
