Birthday Party

Good day

I would like to inform you about an incident that happened at N1 City Spur(4th Jan 2022)

My daughter's birthday is coming up in January and she wanted a Spur party. I then went personally into N1 City spur to do the booking. When I got there I spoke one of the guys and he informed me that he would get a lady to assist with the party/booking.

I was waiting for about 5mins with my daughter at the door.

As I was standing there, one of the managers was at the front desk and the person I spoke to informed him about the booking I would like to make.

The Manager then shook his head the guy came back and informed me I cannot make the booking for that specific day. He then informed me I need to come on the day of the party(30mins before the time)and he will arrange for the seating.

I informed the person we have about 13 kids and 25 adults. On top of that it is month end as well. The guy then said I should just come that day.

My wife then called Spur in Kuilsriver wanted to make the booking there. Before she confirmed the booking, she then called N1 City Spur, spoke to a lovely lady and the booking was confirmed.

My problem is that why could I have not been helped, when I was personally in N1 City Spur to make the booking.

I feel that the manager had no time to assist me and just said 'No' because he just wanted to.

This type of service is uncalled for. My daughter's birthday is on the 27th Jan, booking was made for 29th Jan. What would have happened if we told the children and parents to come half an hour before the party starts and there is no space for everyone. Everyone has to wait until we have enough tables to seat the kids and parents

That is the reason for the booking.

This is very unprofessional from the N1 City Spur's Manager's side.

How can you advertise on TV that you do birthday party's and that you need to book, but when you go into a Spur they tell you to come on that day. The advert does not say you must call in to book the party

Words can not describe how upset I was for the mere fact that could not help me when I was there, but when my wife calls, everything is sorted

If the Manager feels that he does not want to help then get someone else to assist. They shouldn't be turning clients away.....
