Bad service on my son's birthday today 11 September

Dear Spur Customer Care,

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration after the experience I had at your Greenhills Randfontein branch on 11 September 2025.

I visited Spur to celebrate my son's 5th birthday, but instead of a joyful celebration, we were treated with disrespect and **************. The waiter assigned to our table refused to serve us and treated us as if we didn’t matter, simply because we are Black. This was humiliating, hurtful, and completely unacceptable.

To make matters worse, the waiter took our birthday voucher and used it. I was so upset by the treatment that I left the restaurant without staying any longer. I also asked to speak to the manager, but there was no manager available at the time.

I am disgusted and disappointed that a well-known restaurant like Spur allows staff members to behave this way towards customers. No one deserves to be treated like this, especially on a special occasion like a child’s birthday.

I am requesting the following:

A full investigation into this incident

Appropriate action taken against the staff involved

Replacement of the ****** or misused birthday voucher

A formal apology for the way we were treated

Please take this matter seriously. I look forward to your response.
