Bad Service

We went to Spur at Mall of Africa last night. We have twins which are two years old. We decided to dine at Spur because of the play area which my kiddies love. As we aproached the gate upstairs of the play area, the lady that looks after the kids asked us how old are the kids? She did not even greet us, more interested in her conversation with her friend she was standing and chatting to. Mu husband said that they are two and she then said we not allowed to leave them there alone and must stay to monitor them. We understand that those are our kids and our responsibility but we only choose a kids friendly restaurant so that we can eat whilst the kiddies play. My 13 year old son was with us and if she gave us the opportunity to explain we would have told her that we will be sending him back and forth to keep an eye on them. For us it was about her attitude which totally sucked, she had a sour face obviously not happy to see the kids. This is her job and she needs to have a passion for what she is doing. We went to Spur Eastgate on Friday night and had no issues, kiddies went to play and we went from time to time to check if they fine. Spur Mall of Africa was empty, she could not even say there was too many kids and she was afraid they were going to get hurt. Nelly the manager came to assist us, she was very helpful and tried her best to diffuse the situation but immediately we decided to leave , it is really sad because bad customer service cost you to lose business last night. I may be one of thousand customers and may not have a huge impact on Spur pocket but my experience will be shared with family and friends.
