After visiting Modimolle Spur for a birthday, we received our main course just after load shedding, and to be informed that they don't have a generator, but all Spurs in the surrounding towns do. We could not order milkshakes because of the power issue and sitting in smoke because of the extractor fans not working. We were informed we will be contacted the following day by the owner, Nico, but until now, no phone call. One manager only said sorry and walked off after we complained. There was also a 90th anniversary for a certain group and it eas like a riot with all the kids that could not play outside because of the load shedding. The whole experience caused us to decide to never visit a spur again. There is many other family restaurants, with better prices to support, even if we have to drive further, but enjoy the evening out. We live on farms and have to drive long distances to dine out. Modimolle Spur is 45km away, and would rather drive another 40km to Bela-Bela or even Lephalale
