A Night to remember

<p>My wants to have his Birthday at Spur. I emailed Texas Spur a good time to set this all up,called made relevant correspondence.</p> <p> </p> <p>Important enough to inform that I would like a section for 4 kids and 8 to 10 adults from 6th to 8pm as it's a school night.</p> <p> </p> <p>Well to my surprise we arrived.</p> <p>Drinks we ordered just about 6 on the first who arrived even food. The waiter returned to update a second order and yet nobody received their requests.</p> <p> </p> <p>At 1850 I called a manager as we waited 50 minutes alone for drinks.</p> <p>Waiter arrived and the hotchocolate was so milky we need to send it back not only that 3 was ordered only 2 had been served.</p> <p> </p> <p>We ordered the kids food and only a pizza burnt and crusty hard you could only eat the insides.</p> <p>I ordered butternut and spinach and politely asked for it in urgency as my daughter is a year. Her food arrived at 1930 if not later. It took nearly 90 minutes to bring a already prepared meal.</p> <p> </p> <p>Food was ordered just after 6 when brought to the table it was super cold and sent back.</p> <p>I had ordered calamari and wings. My waiter even asked spicy or basted. ..guess what it was 8pm. .. I never received my meal after everyone had practically already eaten.</p> <p> </p> <p>The birthday boy,he started eating his grandads food as his meal arrived so late.</p> <p> </p> <p>They came and sang after we asked ,and the manager knocked over a glass of water onto a friend of mine.</p> <p>I saw my waiter twice through the whole evening.</p> <p>Nobody came to check in or clear the tables.</p> <p>I arranged this specifically understanding the demand for the evening and we got treated as walk ins, this was a special event and Spur completely ruined it. What is offered on the website having your party at spur not even a balloon on the table.</p> <p>And worse is it was not busy or full.</p> <p>Your manager offers me calamari to take home as essence of an apology.</p> <p> </p> <p>I am so livid.</p> <p>Both my kids ended up going home with no food eaten due to late delivery.</p> <p> </p> <p>A creamsoda got know knocked over and nobody attended to it.</p> <p> </p> <p>Funny enough while logging my complaint at the front desk I was not the only 1 a guy had Brought his elderly parents and he could not begin to express how below mediocre the service had been.</p> <p>I refused to pay for a terrible experience. One I will never forget.</p> <p> </p> <p>I had family and friends come from brackenfell to all the way Tokai. </p> <p> </p> <p>I was told we could settle and I would receive R300 compensation off my bill </p> <p>You cannot compensate a night ruined and of which was planned and requested by all your fancy spur commercials promoting family and kids.</p> <p>I especially emailed to set this out to hope by the 12th a relationship would be greater and spur would have made this special.</p> <p>You have 10 people that grew in the spur tradition and lastnight you may have none of them ever returning due to the experience. And not only us but the few complaints thereafter.</p> <p>I left and never paid a bill that would be agreeing to an experience that was really bad and disappointing </p> <p>I had told the manager to advise head office to contact me and we could settle accordingly.</p> <p>Because of the disruptive operations this weekend I would need to celebrate his birthday again to enhance the experience.</p> <p>I am truly annoyed and upset.</p> <p>Robyn</p>
