BEWARE: Drastic limits on big win withdrawals
I tried to withdraw my winnings from Springbok Casino today. My first withdrawal last week of R25,000, the stated weekly limit, was processed successfully. HOWEVER, when I attempted to withdraw another R25,000 today (as permitted after seven days), I was shocked to find out that, without any communication from the casino, I am only allowed to withdraw a maximum of R3,000 from my winnings, with the next withdrawal (of only R3000) allowed only in another seven days.
This effectively means that large wins can only be cashed out in R3,000 increments which stretches payouts over several weeks, months or even years. This practice is both unreasonable and deeply concerning.
Three days ago, I received an email from a Springbok Casino staff member confirming that I was “welcome to withdraw up to R25,000 a week.” Yet without warning, this was drastically reduced. I have sent multiple emails to their email client service and email support teams and requested communication with management but have received no response from these as of yet.
If I had known about these restrictive practices, I would never have played here. I have since discovered similar complaints about withdrawal limits being reduced to these low amounts from other players on Trustpilot. They are also not based in South Africa but are in Curacao.
For a business that claims to be reputable (and who actively and frequently asks players to rate them on services like HelloPeter and Trustpilot), such actions raise serious questions about their integrity. In the past, I would have recommended them to others, but after this experience, I can only warn potential players to proceed with extreme caution.
