Spitz such a PATHETIC service. Saffron Browne shoes

Please read Rhoda Mashabe who is my aunt. sad story about a retailer who does not care about customer satisfaction in these trying times with our Economy!!!

saffron browne shoes

I am a regular customer at Spitz and I bought the suede shoes at Spitz Cresta May 2016 and the firstime I wore them, they were uncomfortable on the top of my feet but I told myself that maybe they are still new. I wore the shoes two or three times but still they were uncomfortable. I took the shoes back on Saturday 30/07/2016 with my till slip and on the original package and I spoke to the Manager Mary whereby she told me that she will show them to her Superior. On Tuesday I saw missed call then I phoned back she told me that the regional manager told her that there is nothing that they can do as I have worn the shoes who is going to buy the shoes that are being worn maybe if the heels were broken or if the shoes were small they were going to refund and I was told about the rules of returning goods that is written at the back of their slip which I clearly know about them and I was given a customer care no which I phoned and I spoke to Tuala who also fail to assist me telling me the same thing that was said about the till slip and I even told her that I as a consumer have a right if I am not happy she said before I go to report them to CPA I must go fetch my shoes and because I was very angry I put the phone down on her. So I told myself that it means honesty with Spitz doesn’t work you need to be dishonest meaning by breaking the shoes? to me if you want to bring the customer back you can go above the rules to make him or her happy then you can sort this issue with your supplier. Will I ever come back? NO and I will tell my friends not to buy at Spirtz because of the treatment I got. I have been a loyal customer with Spitz for many year. My son, daughter and husband have been shopping at Spitz since i dont know when. if this is not sorted then my next stop is facebook and Twitter. even when going to the branch expect that i will cause a scene because money comes hard. I'm disappointed by this service.

Dear Rhoda

Thank you for reporting your concerns with regards a pair of shoes you purchased from one of our store in May.

While we are sorry to hear your shoes are not comfortable and may possibly not be the correct size, we unfortunately are not able to exchange or replace them as there is no evidence of a manufacturing fault in the shoes as per feedback from our store manager and our regional manager.

Had the shoes not been worn several times, we would gladly have exchanged them within 30 days, in line with our Terms & Conditions stipulated on our till slip which require items to be in their original condition.

However once items have been worn and in the absence of any indication of a quality issue, no exchange or refund can be made. These conditions comply with CPA requirements.

Kind regards

Tric Stone

Consumer Liaison Manager.

Dear Tric Stone

The response from your management and yourself clearly does not favour this situation we are faced with. The team at the store did not even want to see if the size was an issue whatsoever. Spitz customers are only helped when they are dishonest by either saying the shoe broke like your team says. this is the message that we are getting accross from you guys. factory faults are only evident if something is damaged in your response. what if the shoe Rhoda got was different to the shoe she fitted at the store??? you dont consider that and you are not even willing to take the shoe to the supplier for evaluation!!! you cant just respond from your desktop as if you have all the ducks in line. Get the supplier to sort this issue.
