Spitz shoes

Sometime December I went to buy myself a pair of sneakers at Spitz Mall of Africa. Then my fiancée liked a pair, tried it on and was skeptical to buy it. We then bought my pair and was told about the layby for her shoes. She asked for a size 3 and half, but was told 3 is ok. We then did a layby on her Lacoste. We got home, she then told me her toes are painful and still think she should have taken a 3 and half as her foot side was still painful from the shoe she fitted earlier on. A week later went to take a layby out, she tried on the very same shoe again, asked to swap for a size 3and a half. A different consult this time, went to check the shoe on display. Came back and convinced us that a 3 is ok as she is also a size 3 but takes a size 2 in their store. My fiancee insisted on 3& half. Consultant still pushed for a 3. Took the shoes home. first she noticed factory fault, but left it cause she saw it as something minor. She wore them at home. Her heel and toes were painful and could barely wear any other close shoes, and said to me that she suspect they do not have a 3and half hence they pushed for a 3. We then went back to the store, explained everything. The 1st lady who assisted with the layby was there, she checked the shoes that I brought back, went and came with a size 4. Checked on her system and told me size 3and half is only at Kempton park and other stores. Then handed her a size 4 to try on, it was big. She then said its better to take a bigger size. At the till the time of exchange, one of the employees came to authorize , They gathered around the till point, pointing at the shoes whispering. Went to the office and refused to exchange for me. He offered stretching spray that he was unsure of.

I then asked him what happens if the shoes doesn't stretch. Responded that then I will keep coming to buy the spray.

With that bad attitude, he said why are we making it his problem. That there was no store manger and no assistant manager and the time. He was called and also refused and said he doubts it the spray will stretch the type that I bought. We were not asking for a refund....what a terrible experience. I have been Spitz customer for years, never ever returned their shoe or complained, but this time the experience was really disappointing.
