Spitz Gateway Mall
<p>I purchase a Carvela from Spitz in Gateway Mall in November 2016. While using it the entire threading from the corner opened up and the shoe tore. I paid approximately R2000 for it. I'd expect a shoe that costs so much to be of good quality. I am greatly disappointed. I did visit the store on Thursday the 2nd of February 2017 and was told that the stiching had given up because the foot was touching the ground??? I mean isn’t that what shoes are meant for… to touch the ground. Irrespective of how many times the shoe was used the stiching is supposed to be strong enough. I'd like someome from Spitz to contact me to arrange for the shoe to be exchanged for another. The shoe is currently at the store in Gateway. I'm deeply saddened by this experience as i loved shopping at Spitz and assumed they had great quality products. </p>

Thank you for your comments regarding the pair of shoes you purchased for your young son from one of our Spitz stores.
We concur with the assessment made in store regarding the wear on these shoes.
Our Footwear Technologist has confirmed that it is clear from the pictures of these shoes that your son walks on the outsides of his heels resulting in wear on the upper part of the shoe, not designed for contact with the ground, and not just the sole. This wear has been exacerbated by the fact that the shoes are suede.
In addition the shoes present with a good amount of wear.
We will therefore not be exchanging the shoes.
