Refusal to Exchange a Product

I bought a pair of very expesive Kurk Geiger shoes at Spitz Menlyn and on my first day of wearing the shoes I noted that the shoes were pinching the top of my foot. There is no problem with the quality of the shoes but the design is such that the shoes bend too much and causes the pinch and the pain. When raising the matter at the store the next day, both the sales consultant and the store manager turned to agree with me however, the regional manger and the customer service consultant at the contact centre, both of whom never had a face to face contact with me or the product refused to let me exchange the shoes as the shoes have been worn. I tried to explain that there is no way I could have detected the problem without wearing the shoes but I was told that 'my feet are not suitable for the shoe'. Now I am having a parir of shoes that cost me R 2 295.00. that I wore for only I day and will never be able to wear again.

Dear Mr Molefe
Thank you for your comments and concerns with regards your shoes.
Olivia from our customer care did in fact suggest that in the event you were not happy with the feedback given to you by the store, you should return your shoes to the store and we would arrange for a physical assessment to be made at head office by our foot ware technologist.
As you have not undertaken to return the shoes to the store the assumption was made that the matter was closed.
We once again suggest that you return the shoes to the store and once they have been assessed by our technologist we will update you with his feedback regarding your concerns.
Kind regards
