Poor quality - Tosoni lace up shoes

I bought a pair of formal shoes about 7 months ago. I wear the shoes very occasionally, at most once a week. I started see minor cracks on the inside a few months ago and took it lightly until last week the outside of the shoe started cracking. I complained at the shop only to be told there is nothing they can do about it. Why charge R1400 for such cheap quality then? I have bought shoes for far less than that and they are still intact 5 years on.<br> This is ****************.
