SPITFIRE FURNITURE - DESK FROM HELL

STORE INVOLVED : SPITFIRE, GREEN POINT OWNER : JOSH BROOME

COMPLAINT : LEAD TIME & HEIGHT OF DESK NOT AS PER ORDER PROMISED LEAD TIME AT TIME OF ORDER: 60 DAYS ARRIVAL OF DESK : 170 DAYS LATER HEIGHT OF DESK ORDERED : 78cm HEIGHT OF DESK RECEIVED : 86cm (8cm difference)

We contacted the owner to ask for a refund (keeping in mind 6 months had passed and we had still not received our desk). Josh told us we have no option but to wait another 2 months, until February, in the hope of receiving the correct desk.

I told him that we would really appreciate a refund as we need a desk to be able to work from at home. He became verbally abusive and personal over the telephone calling my husband, who is above average in height, 'SHORTY'. Josh absolutely refused and slammed the phone down. In retaliation, he turned the matter around and tells all his Facebook clients that we were verbally abusive - which is absolute nonsense.

Why would a client be abusive if the owner had the ability to rectify the situation ?!

This store owner is a disgrace - PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND DO NOT USE SPITFIRE. If your order does not run smoothly, you will end up regretting your decision to ever use them.
