Spark schools Riversands

I would like to raise awareness about the decline in service and communication at SPARK Schools Riversands since Miss Majola left the school.

The experience for parents has changed significantly. The current principal does not respond to emails and is rarely available when parents need assistance. Communication from some teachers has also become unprofessional and disappointing.

One teacher, Ms MG, dropped the phone while I was still speaking. Another teacher, Ms Deph, told my child that his project was incorrect, yet when I emailed for clarification, I received no response. Instead of addressing the matter directly with me as the parent, she reportedly complained to my child.

Parents are also being told that teachers are not allowed to provide project instructions, yet children are expected to complete projects correctly and are threatened with poor marks if the work does not meet expectations. My son was told that his “incorrect” project would still be accepted but would receive low marks.

How are parents supposed to support their children if no proper guidance or instructions are provided? We are repeatedly told that projects are done at school, but learners still come home stressed and confused.

Parents deserve respectful communication, transparency, and support from school leadership and staff. Most importantly, children should not be placed in the middle of unresolved communication between teachers and parents.

I sincerely hope management addresses these concerns and restores the standard of professionalism and care the school once had.
