Regret! Regret!
With utter disappointment from the school, I have made the decision to NOT bring my son back to any Spark school from 2022.
Reasons that I hope will be addressed for future parents: Spark Randpark ridge does not have the capacity to teach, guide and nurture our kids. The teachers have told us this many times and there is no plan to resolve the capacity issue. - I had to follow up with teachers countless times for my son's books to be marked - I had to go into the school to address the issue of his books not being marked - I had to follow up with his Math teacher countless times and was told that my son is doing "OK" but assessment results prove otherwise. The school does not give any recommendations to parents when the child is struggling with a certain subject, instead they are happy to see the child fail at the end of term.
What fueled my decision to pull my son out of Spark was the recent PCM. I realised that I am not the only parent getting anxiety from having to deal with the teachers at spark. The manner in which teachers speak to our kids has made my son, who was very confident, jump into a shell. The teachers in the meeting became very defensive when parents were voicing their concerns. On Top of everything, Spark Randpark ridge does not know how to deal with bullying.
I went to inform the school that I am pulling out my son and the assistant principal didn't not even bother to ask why?. The teachers and management have a very high level on the "I DON'T CARE" attitude. To me Spark has not kept to their part of the contractual agreement to give my son quality education.
