Poor management leading to unjustified penalties

I formally notified the school on 31 October 2025 at 20:22 that my son would not be returning due to serious concerns regarding how the school is managed. This decision was not sudden. I had already completed and submitted the required termination form in August, well in advance. When I later requested a transfer letter, the school informed me that I must complete a termination form again, which I did. After submitting it, the school then claimed the termination was “late” and demanded R9,000 as a late termination fee. This demand only arose after I requested the transfer letter. The school is now refusing to release the transfer letter unless I pay the R9,000, effectively holding my child’s academic records hostage over a disputed and unjustified charge. Now they are Withholding a transfer letter under these circumstances is unfair, *********, and prejudicial to my child’s right to education
