PARENTS RUN RUN & RUN FAR AWAY & FAST!!!

We have been with Sparks for a couple of years, our daughter in Grade 10 this year (Ferndale). During the course of the year, I requested the Principal to share with me the 2024 Matric performance results as this information was never shared voluntarily by the school with parents as should be the case - Months passes with that information not forthcoming.We followed up multiple times but to no avail then I made a decision that I will remove my daughter to a more committed school as our child is writing Matric in 2 years time - Then I decided to request for the school fees statement as I was on a 10 month plan, it turned out that I had overpaid by R948 and I was informed that the refund will be done within 3 weeks - I waited patiently with follow-ups here and there and was told that the money was processed and will reflect on my account in 2 days or so - After 3 days of the money not reflecting I then decided to call the accounts department and unfortunately my call was picked up by a NONHLANHLA, the consult paid no attention to my query, kept on asking the same information over and over, the background noise on the call was that of someone in a tavern, I even complained about the noise and she paid no attention and all she was concerned about is where she and her colleagues would be buying briyani for lunch and the black Friday specials - She literally stopped talking to me and continued engaging her friends - I dropped the call and called again, call was picked up by someone else who then told me that instead of a refund I now owe on school fees...

Now, this is disturbing to say the least, I gather that because I had initiated a transfer from Sparks they are now going to make sure that I don't get my refund and still ****** more money from me.

To all Sparks parents - My advise is simple for you and your kids - RUN,RUN,RUN as far away and as quick as you can - Your kid's futures are at risk with Sparks.

To prospective Sparks Parents - STAY AWAY, AWAY & AS FAR AWAY as you possibly can - The school is rotten inside out.

I regret not taking my child out of that hellhole earlier...I am at peace now that she has been accepted at a school that does not hide their matric performance from parents, a school that works towards ensuring the children are supported and the ultimate goal is University passes at Matric - Sparks will not give you that.
