Lack of transparency and unfair treatment

I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding my recent experience with Spark School Randburg and to request a refund for the January 2026 school fee that I have already paid.

In 2025, I enrolled my child in Grade 8 for the academic year of 2026, during which I was instructed to remit both an administration fee and the January tuition fee. However, I discovered in December 2025 that the fee structure provided to me did not correspond with the school's published price list.

Furthermore, I was informed that a tablet, with a cost ranging from R5000 to R6000, was a necessary requirement—information that was not disclosed during the application process. Regrettably, I also lost my sponsorship during this period, which necessitated the cancellation of the application.

While I understood the need for cancellation, I was taken aback upon receiving notification that the school would not issue a refund for the January fee, citing a policy which mandates cancellation within seven days. It is worth highlighting that this clause was not included in the contract I signed. Had I been made aware of the additional costs and requirements, I would have thoroughly reconsidered my decision to proceed with the enrollment.

Since raising these concerns, I have experienced considerable difficulty in communicating with the finance department. My primary contact, Kevin Britto, has since evaded my calls and emails, and I have been unable to obtain contact information for his manager to escalate this matter further.

I am genuinely concerned about the school's transparency and operational practices. My principal request pertains to the reimbur*****t of the January school fee. Additionally, I feel compelled to caution other prospective parents regarding the challenges I have encountered.
