Kids are not safe!

My daughter has flu and is recovering from flu. When she was feeling fit enough for school she went to school, but then her temperature went up whilst she was at school as she did not have her paracetamol with at school. She only had throat pops, of which they did not permit her to take those as sweets are not allowed st the school. The school then contacted me about her high temperature. Asked them if they had paracetamol for her of which they said they did not. I then arranged for my daughter to be collected early from school. Following day, i put ibuprofen syrup for her in the bag. I called the school to advise them of her medication in her bag. They advised that I email all her teachers, which I did. I even asked them to give her for her temperature. As well as the dosage on the email. I also mentioned to them that the throat pops are not general sweets. That they are for soothing her throat. I called the school 3 times just to check on my daughter if she was ok. They advised that she was ok, and there was no problem. End of the day, when I got my daughter to my surprise her temperature was extremely high, and she looked like she was going to collapse. In pain and with a headache! Spark Midrand did not advise me of this and they had told me she was well! Even when they called me advising I should state that I have given them permission to give my daughter medication; the dosage as well as the times (which was all on the email that morning). Only for me to discover that they left my daughter with her high temperature all day, did not bother to ensure her temperature was ok. Did not even give her the medication I asked them to give her at 11.30. Did not even allow her to have her throat pops! I am very disappointed in the service given at Spark Midrand. The teachers have no basic knowledge of First Aid and do not even have paracetamol/acetaminophen and/ibuprofen in their first aid kits! Something which is standard for a first aid kit! The school is not safe for our kids incase of emergency! To make matters worse the teachers did not even make an effort to assist my child as she is in Grade R, with the medication! & to think I can trust this school with my children’s safety in future- certainly not!
