SPAR PHYSICALLY STINKS

for 24 months, we have endured a cigarette cloud which emanates from the stock room at the Kruin street Spar. It is unbearable and sickening to all who do not smoke. From a hygienic perspective, I believe its time to call in Health & Safety as these odours pollute the shop permanently. Yesterday, 31 July 2025, i decided to enquire regarding these odours and was there a way to resolve the smell, as its ******* to smoke inside such buildings.

I was told by Trevor-the manager, that he has staff and they need to smoke, this is where their canteen is!!!!!!!

in other words, stuff off and don't bother me.

Unfortunately, there is no other shop in the area, otherwise the solution would be simple.

So here is the deal SPAR- sort this out or i will report this shop next week to Health and Safety offices -lets see if you treat them like dirt .

In closing, it is not a 1 cigarette odour but the strength of 20 at the same time. I am of the assumption that these particles move freely onto the fresh food sections- i can guarantee you,i am not the only unhappy shopper- we spend easily R3k a month in this place under duress.
