Unhappy customer/client.

Good day I've just downloaded the Spar 2U app and I realized that they need your ID numbers to register on the app, I'm VERY uncomfortable with this because we all know about identity theft issues we have in SA so I want to know why is this the requirement? Can't they just use contact details, email address, name and surname only?
