Big corporate stomps on the little guys

I am disgusted by the inflexibility of this giant landlord in a time where people cannot afford anything. I spoke to an agent asking for a one off 10 date option at Design Quarter. I received a digital agreement which I signed THINKING that what I discussed telephonically would be outlined. I never stepped foot in the building after all as it turned out (I didn't reuqire the space), but was happy to pay for the 10 days I agreed to. Fast forward months later, I get whacked with a bill for almost R5000 in late penalties and interest. I didn't even step into the building, and pled my case but it fell on deaf ears. Eventually, realizing I had no where to run, I suggested a payment plan, which they refused and threatened to escalate legally. There is zero compassion, consideration or flexibility. I would not ever recommend this company and would advise everyone to read the Ts and Cs carefully.
