Even though it was 16 days of Activism police officers from Vosloorus did this to me inside my own home, full story in the comment section... I'm only writing this for awareness, seeking for help & justice. It was approximately 7 or 8 am when I was awoken by a loud, unusual knock at the gate. The commotion outside prompted me to get out of bed. A group of individuals dressed in plain clothes, entered our home causing chaos. They didn't identify themselves as law enforcement officers. The group demanded to see my brother, which agitated my mother. Our home is a small, multi-bedroom house, where I reside with my parents, three siblings, and my sister's two-year-old child. My brother had retreated to our bedroom to retrieve his jacket due to the chilly weather. Officers followed him, invading our private space, where some family members were half-dressed, my mother requested that a female officer must intervene, given the presence of male officers My father who just existed his bedroom, inquired about the commotion but received no response, while my sister asked me to remove her frightening 2 years old child from the scene. As I took the child to our bedroom, I heard a lot of noise... I then witnessed officers holding him against the wall, pulling him back and forth. They alleged that he had pointed a gun at them and called for backup whilst the gun was inside his holster. I attempted to intervene explaining that my father is a 63-year-old prostate cancer patient with high blood pressure and has a history of strokes, (he's a former Military Veteran and a Police officer btw. One of the officers, identified as Sergeant Bilankulu(found his name at the charge office on the day of arrest) restrained me against the wall, strangling me as I struggled to breathe. I shouted for help luckily my nephew, little(disabled )bro & my little sister managed to pull me away from him, when my disabled bro was intervening they said to my mom "Awuthathe lento yakho le" yhoo💔 Its ironic that this is happening during the '16 Days of Activism', yet men still perpetuate violence against women. Then they declared that they're taking me ngoba ngiyahlanya haibo. They forcibly removed me at home half naked and without shoes and humiliating me in the process. We spent the entire weekend in jail, and on Monday, when we were scheduled to appear in court, numerous inconveniences occurred. While most detainees were fetched from the holding cells, my family members and I were left behind. A police officer asked for my surname and informed me 'I have received order that you're not going anywhere.'It became apparent that they intended to transfer some of us to SunCity&others to Boksburg Prison.This might explain why Officer Hlongwane said to me"I feel pity for you" The magistrate intervened, demanding that the officers fetch us. We eventually appeared in court and were granted R1,000 bail each. These events transpired at the Vosloorus Police Station23 December 2024 I returned to the Vosloorus Police Station to open a case of assault against Sergeant Bilankulu. Although the case was opened, no arrests have been made. Allegedly, Sergeant Bilankulu is currently away on leave. Notably, we reported this incident to the Station Commander Brigadier Thethe... There's even a J88 form, had to go see a doctor because of the pains and bruises I had. I was arrested for "Defeating ends of justice" didn't know that we should no longer practice our right to freedom of speech in South Africa.
