SAPS POINT POLICE STATION IN DURBAN INCOMPETENCE

SAPS detective (serg.) LM Makhanya based at the Point police station in Durban closed case number 23/5/2022 concerning a stolden and recovered vehicle, without clearing the vehicle on the e-Natis system. I am now unable to renew the vehicle licence disc for the vehicle as it is listed as stolden in the e-Natis motor vehicle licensing system, not to mention the fact that according to the system, I am driving a stolden vehicle and could be arrested if stopped by police. There is no answer to the Point police station number ***. I visited the Point police station on 16th December 2022 and was literally kicked out as I was told that they were very busy and nobody was available to assist me. I went to another police station and spoke to a detective who checked the e-Natis system and informed me that the system clearly indicates that my vehicle was stolden and recovered on the same day in May 2022 and also the date on which the vehicle was cleared and released from the SAPS vehicle pound in Isipingo in Durban. This illustrates the gross incompetence of the SAPS Point police station and detective (serg.) LM Makhanya who closed the case without clearing the vehicle in the e-Natis system. Is there no end to the cases of how SAPS miserably fails the public which they are meant to serve and protect ???
