SAPS AND HOME AFFAIRS RUSTENBURG

<p>We were recently obliged to get a duplicate marriage certificate and a sworn affidavit, and since we were going to Home affairs we thought we should also apply for our smart cards. Both my husband and</p> <p> myself are pretty ancient , we were not looking forward to the anticipated long ques, but what a pleasant experience it really was. The staff were very helpful and took us to the front where we were helped politely and efficiently. We then had to have a letter certified at the police station, again we were somewhat apprehensive, but again we were treated with respect and taken to the front of the que,</p> <p>we protested that it might be unfair to the many people who were waiting, but were assured by the policeman that when they reached 95 they would also be helped ahead of the others.
