SAP Boksburg Detective Branch, Commisioner street, Boksburg

My Grandmother died unnecessarily and under suspicious circumstances, in my opinion, at the SAVF Kowa Pienaar Old Age home in Boksburg on 28 July 2019. I reported the matter to Lieutenant Colonel Tshwane, in person, whereby he spent a good half an hour explaining that not only was her death suspicious, but the hospital, doctor and funeral home had not followed procedure and needed to be investigated. I did as he said and asked the hospital to prepare and provide my grans file and furthermore, made a 4 page detailed statement in writing at the Boksburg Detective branch in August 2019 and received a case number. After repeated calls to the detective branch, I managed to have them collect my gran for the State pathologist to do an autopsy. My father did the identification, as requested. This was the last I heard. The first investigating officer originally did call to say he was going on leave and couldn't understand why he had been allocated the case. To my knowledge and to date, no finger has been lifted since. Then after some time, on enquiry, I heard a Sgt. Mailer is the investigating officer. I have not received a call to get any names and numbers or dates etc. relating to the case, for investigation. I provided them with colour photos of my Gran's injury, where a student at the Old Age home had attempted to cut her nails, then cut her thumb, well below where her nail was, on Friday, 26 July 2019. The injury was not cared for correctly by the staff and she died of sepsis on the Sunday, 28 July 2019, her arm being black and blistered up to the shoulder. The complaint lodged at the SAVF Old Age home (after we had waited for the Police Detectives to investigate to no avail) led to a meeting, where they are now claiming no record or knowledge of the incident?! Please keep in mind that I have names, dates, and times of the Old Age Staff involved?! I fail to understand the absolute apathy, I have experienced from the SAP Boksburg Detectives. Is an elderly person's life of no value to the SAP Boksburg Detectives?
