Poor treatment from lazy cops

On wednesday i was involved in a minor accident. I first went to Mondeor police station (at 7pm) to open a case. They urned me away and said they are busy and i should go to Booysens station.

The next evening we went to the Booysens station. As soon as i got there one of the female constables refused to assist us because we couldnt tell her the name of the intersection. We explained that it happened on the freeway and there was no street names. She said she wont help us then.

When she asked why we didnt report it yesterday, i told her that we did but the Mondeor station turned us away. She then shouted at me and said I am lying and I she is not going to help me and I should go to Hillbrow because she refuses to assist me. I wasnt even there to complain about Mondeor station. I just wanted a case number.

She then said that we must go to Hillbrow because they need to then send the docket by post to the correct station and it would take 2 weeks. Which I'm fairly certain is a lie.

I find it very hypocritical that she was angry when I told her we were turned away only for her to do the same. She could not see the problem with that. Others were also turned away to go to other stations. Also, those people who were arrested were walking around outside the station. This happened last night (Friday).

We were also reprimand for not reporting it first. Again- we did! I was treated like an idiotic child all because they didnt want to work.

Not once did I yell or even argue , but I can see now why so many people get upset and when you do try to stand up for yourself you are ********ized because "how dare you argue with a cop" What hope do any of us have if this is what happens when you ask the police for help?
