POOR POLICE SERVICES AT PAULPIETERSBURG/DUMBE POLICE STATION

I am writing with a greatest concern or rather disappointment pertaining the police services at eDumbe/PaulPietersburg.I am a youth member of Bilanyoni Township community in Edumbe/Paulpietersburg town.I have heard people complain about public servants, I really did not know that it could be this bad. I have experienced eDumbe police station public servants first hand and I concur, they are the worst. My disappointment is mainly on the Station Commander of eDumbe police station, Mr Phenyane. I had gone to watch football at Kanye Kanye sport grounds yesterday, 29 December 2017, as this is what often keeps the community around this Area entertained almost every year throughout the Festive Season. Some misunderstanding took place between both teams that were playing at the time. Whilst the players from both teams and the referees were trying to resolve the matter, a number of guys gotten inside the ground from outside carrying knifes ready to hurt. The situation could have gotten out of hand and someone could have been hurt or ****ed. Such weapons scared the hell out of many in the community as we would often hear how people die in our community of lately. From the shock, I immediately searched for Edumbe Police Station contacts so I could report what I have witnessed. I gotten the mobile number of the Edumbe/Paulpietersburg Station Commander, Mr Phenyane, whom I called myself yesterday,29 December 2017, around 15:20 on his mobile phone : ********** , reporting this incident which threatened the lives of football *****s at Bilanyoni township. Phenyane cited when I called him that, no one reported the tournament to the police station so it is not appreciated and it becomes a problem when people only report the incidents of this kind when the police were never initially involved in the planning/organizing of any public event. I stated to him that I am/was not part of the tournament organizing team, I was just calling as a concerned member of the community. Of lately, we are even scared to go to the tuck shop once its dark, we are scared to send our children to tuck shops even during the day because it is not safe to do so anymore, we never used to have such fear in our community but because these ****s are very much aware that eDumbe offers POOR police services, that is why they can do anything at any time they please. I even told the Station Commander that, there were guys playing dice there and that as well scares the safety of our community, I am not so sure if public drinking around this area has been legalised, because people do it like it is legal. I had stated all these concerns to the Station Commander who had promised to rapidly send a team to the area in question. It was 4:50pm when I left the grounds for home and no police has showed up by then. My question now is, what is the point of having police services in eDumbe when they cannot fairly service the public and these are the people who actually pay their salaries. Right now I am so keen in doing a study on how many people around this area die and are ****ed by the weapons so that it is a public knowledge that our Police services are useless. The community is not safe anymore and it is failed by the government officials, the very government people of this community vote for. Even worse this morning 30 December 2017 at 08:08 I called the Station Commander trying to understand why we could not see any policemen after we have reported an incident that carries so much seriousness (the lives).The commander had to cut our conversation stating that ,I quote’ kusese kuseni sisi,ngifonele later nyana’ and he sounded deep asleep. What time does work start, is the Commander on leave, at his level is he allowed to park matters and ONLY attend to them when he is up from sleep or later nyana if I’m to use his own words? I mean, it was after 8am when I called. I had hoped that he reverts to me so he could clarify me on what transpired yesterday after I have reported. The Commander never returned my call and I had to called him at 13:00pm ,he did not answer, only when I tried again at 13:17 he answered .I was furious and I told him that I was going to write to the office of the Mister and report him, he responded and said that I must do so and he hung up ,so this explains how the public servants of eDumbe police station treat the community , the arrogance is just mind disturbing, it is nasty to the core. Having had given the background of my experience, my concern is that how are we safe in this Area as a community, are these ****s friends with police? We call upon the superiors in charge to intervene, we cannot live in a society that threatens the lives and the officials assigned to assist the community are just relaxed in the positions and get paid for doing absolutely nothing. People are hurt every day, people die every day and if this does not seem to bother the officials who are supposed to protect the community, they might as well be gotten rid of and people are who are willing to work be sourced. EDUMBE STATION COMMANDER MUST FALL, PHENYANE MUST FALL, public does not deserve this kind of arrogance. It is this arrogance that ****s our beautiful country. What happened to Batho Pele Principles? Can someone remind public servants that they are called public servants because it is the public they need to serve to its satisfactory.
