Poor community service

I am so disappointed yesterday at 7.10 an incident occurred driving in a single and a white van behind me ND/NJ40184 had tried to overtake and however hit my car and took off. I do remember the numbers but not sure of if its ND/NJ its one of those GWM vans. well I reported it at 7.22 at the police station and not getting the name of the employee since I was in a rush advised me I have 24 hours to reported the incident he said he best advise I go to work and than come back before, well since I was travelling with my mom whom witnessed I said I will come back. round about 6.55 pm I was at the police station spoke to a lady complexion (darky) pattered her hair (straight back) she than advised me there's is no one to assist me at the tracing department how ever I can come in the morning or afternoon rest assured the 24hours reporting rule is no more (seconded by another co employee) she was so lazy she even advised it would be pointless cc to fill the forms than you come in the morning etc and I will be off I wont be able to help we work with shift come in the morning someone will be able to assist you I questioned her will they be able to assist even though im not sure on the NJ/ND she said yes. Well today at 7.22 am 16/05/2018 at the station spoke to one of the employees at the desk a grown up uncle wearing glasses explained the story then advised the person that was assisting yesterday was lazy I said yes that I noticed, I than explained again to him the story. However since I don't know the registration number if it starts with NJ/ND there's nothing he can do he wont be able to assist me. Well my car is scratched with a dent I will try and fix it was is the use of such employees whom have less interest in their jobs but advised to report any accident that takes place.
