Police not needed in S.A

Good morning

We called more then 5 times requesting assistance with an intruder caught in our yard. We live 10 mins away from the police station and already 1 hour and half passed no one came out to help.

The call centre 10111 is beyond useless they unable to track any calls made to them and also keep dropping calls. Very disappointed if we didnt have ADT come out to help I'm sure much more would have happened. What really upsets me is that These people are getting paid just to do nothing and eat all day. They fast to pick you up in the street for alcohol and for any stupid things but cannot come out when needed.

Customer service emergency line needs to be trained with their manners. They ask stupid question like " do I know the person, what is he doing now' they not able to let people know information like which van number is available, how long will the cops take to arrive at your place depending on the distance etc.

What irritates me more they not able to ask things as ... are you fine, did anyone get hurt, does he/she have a dangerous weapon ? So they can know what they dealing with.
