Police *******ion

On Sunday, 21 July was on my way to catch a taxi in bree street. Three community police officers stopped a lady asking for her passport. The lady said she left them at home and the lady officers said we are arresting you. The lady said no problem you can arrest me. The lady officers became angry when she agreed to be arrested. The officers then said she will be taken to Johannesburg Prison and the lady agreed. That's when she demanded money from her and she said she didn't have, she searched her and found R220 . The officer took the R200 and gave back the R20. I just became numb and helpless. After taking the money the three officers left as if nothing is. Just before I got to the taxi rank I met two other officers and told them what happened. They asked me to describe the officers who did such a bad thing and after that they mentioned their names as they were following them. They said the name of the female office is Grace but did not give her surname and they were sympathetic but because the lady whose money was taken had already left. Those officers are from the Johannesburg Central Police Station. I said police ask for money nowadays instead of combating crime. I know not all of them are ********s but this behavior is unacceptable. People complain about not having jobs and when government tries to do something to keep them off the streets/crime activities they commit the very crimes they are supposed to combat. Thank you
