Police and SOE's ill equipped to serve

During the lockdown 5 in March 2020, strict regulations were enforced due to Covid-19. Unfortunately we had a death in the family and I had to arrange a funeral keeping Covid Protocol in mind. To ensure I was within the law, I approached various police stations for information wrt people attending from different areas in Cape Town for permits and each police station gave me different results. Parow police station insisted I have a permit from Parow to Goodwood and over any "area" boundary. Belhar Police station indicated that they needed a register up front before a permit could be granted for area boundaries. Bellville South Police station wasn't sure of the protocols because the commander was not present. When the identified people for the funeral were told to collect permits, Parow police station stuck to their word with myself and my wife, while another Parow resident was told that a permit to Goodwood was not necessary. I had to email a death certificate to the Grassy park police station while another Grassy Park resident were told a permit was not necessary. The Lansdowne Police station provided a simple form providing access to a funeral/wedding which was not a permit. I forwarded all this information to the ombudsman indicating that incorrect information was provided by the various police station and each station had their own agenda. The case was closed indicating that not enough evidence was provided and they refused to follow up with the police stations. I have lost all confidence in the governance of this country whether it be police, municipalities or any SOE as it seems that the people working there are not qualified to serve the nation and are under the impression that we need to serve them. A real turnaround since 1994
