Incompetence by SAPS

SAPS Hillcrest KZN is condoning Domestic Abuse. A summons was issued by Maintenance Court. Defendant failed to appear and a Warrant of Arrest was issued (Nov 2019). This Warrant was sent from Port Elizabeth to Pinetown KZN and forwarded to Hillcrest SAPS - Feb 2020 - for execution. It is now 20 months later and still no arrest. So the Emotional and Financial Abuse continues. SAPS have in the meantime misplaced the Warrant and a J50 Arrest Warrant was not app**** for timeously. SAPS should forget about the 16 Days of Activism - it's a farce! I have twice already complained to SAPS and I get promises of action and follow ups, but nothing happens. While my husband has his car, lives in our house and has all my stuff, I have no money, no job, my car was repossessed because he failed to pay for it despite a High Court order. He has blocked me on every phone number I get for him, I have no working e-mail address for him. So, getting him arrested for Failure to Appear will also give me a chance to finalise our divorce. In conclusion, SAPS is letting the abuse continue simply by failing to arrest him and getting him to court.
