Humiliation at high great!

I went to Leb/kgomo police station to open a case after a group of men intruded our meeting, sweared and even threatened us. We were 5 and we got to the station at around 14:00. The police officer Mr. Maboea said the matter is very minor for a case to be opened. We were then taken taken to Captain Maponya's office, explained our story and then he said we should go back to charge office and they'll open a case for us. We went back like he said we should, we waited for an hour then one of our people was called to come give statement. When the statement was halfway, he and Maboea were called to Police Commander's office (Mr. Seroka) and Seroka said he wanted to advise us. The guy told him that we weren't there for advise but to open a case and went back to charge office. Again when they were busy with the statement, the officer stood up and attended other matters and left the guy alone without even telling him where he was going. We waited and waited for hours until I decided to call one of the lawyers and told him about our story. He was very surprised about what had happened to us so he promised to send one of his guys to come and help us, then I went and told my people that there's a lawyer coming from Polokwane and he is going to help us open a case. There was an officer who was off duty (Mr. Modula) who heard me when I told them about the lawyer, so he went inside and told the officers on duty and Maboea came quickly calling the guy to come finish the statement.

The service in that station is very poor and disgusting, especially their Commander who always don't take our matters serious. I was threatened twice and am now living in fear but the police think this is a minor thing.

I think it's time the Department do something about Seroka because this thing of ignoring other people's cases has been going on for a long time now and he has even been engaging with alleged ********* a few times.

I am very much ****ed and I never got to open my case.
