******** harrassment by Mitchells Plain Police Officers at

To whom this may concern.

I would like to lodge a formal complaint against Mitchells Plain Police Station.

The incident occurred on 9 August 2024.

I heard someone knock on the gate.

I thought it was someone who is coming to pay my mom for the burgers that she sells.

When I arrived outside, two police cars and one police bakkie was outside.

There were around 10-20 police men and women, demanding that I open the gate or they will arrest me.

And if I don't open the gate, then they will arrest me.

I said I will not open the gate, because it is my mother's house and she ain't home.

I told them that they didn't want to give me a lift home one morning, when I forgot my wallet and clipcard at home, but demand I open the gate.

Then they asked if they can speak to an adult.

I told them I am 38 years old and I am an adult.

They asked to see my ID.

I showed them my ID card.

They still demanded to come inside the property because they have a search and seizure warrant.

I let them in, unbeknownst to me; that my son unlocked the gate earlier during the day.

On the warrant said, possession and manufacturing of drugs.

Possession of ****** goods/property.

******* firearms.

After I let the police indoors, they said they will search and take whatever is in the house.

I said if they touch my property, I will open a police case.

The policeman, Andrews was continously saying he will arrest me and put me in the police van.

And another police woman said that I should calm down.

Another policeman, questioned my 15 year old son, asking him if we sell and manufacture drugs.

My mother is a commissioner of oath and runs a feeding scheme.

I told the police woman, how does she expect me to calm down, whereas I am a law abiding citizen.

I don't sell, use or manufacture drugs.

Neither do I harbour drugs.

I told her which company I work for.

I also have police clearance for 21 years.

When they left, I called emergency services (10111) because Mitchells Plain Police Station contact number doesn't work.

I explained to the operator what happened, he advised I speak to the head of the police station on Monday.

And it should be investigated.

And if I am still unhappy, then I should lodge a complaint at Barrack Street police station in Cape Town.

I will make this go viral.

I will send a formal complaint via email as well.

The incident occurred around, 18:40 on 9 August 2024.

I have lost all faith in the police, not as if they ever assisted me.
