Harare police station

On the 15-01-19 there was a breakin in our house where they took car keys of of 2 cars, avanza and hynddai i10, and left with the avanza, my husband and I reported our ****** vehicle at the Harare police station, where the statement was taken and a case was opened, fortunately we found the vehicle ourselves dumped somewhere after 3 days, when we called the police station and alert them about the vehicle they never came we had to go personally to the police station in order for them to go to the scene, nevertheless vehicle was towed to Stickland police impound, and we were told that they wanted to check for fingerprints, until today no feedback was given to us.

On the 12-03-19 they came back for the hyundai, we went to Harare police station to report the case, statement was taken and case opened as per usual, and we were told to wait, only after 2 days the case was given to a detective to work on, we kept on going to the detective to find out if there was any progress with the case but all he could tell us he's also waiting, 6 days later a good Samaritan spotted the car and posted it on Facebook, after we saw the post we went to the police station with the post, shockingly we were told that the police are on strike... Why do we have police in South Africa if they can't do a simple thing? I am very disappointed... Something needs to be done about this because a lot of people will suffer while we say we have police... As a tax payer I'm very disappointed
