Gender based violence

I was assaulted by a club owner in Mahikeng, the man is one of the owners of a popular club called In The Mix. When the police officers arrived I decided to report the case and they did not take me seriously instead they entertain the man who assaulted me. The club owner went as far as verbally abusing me in front of them and they said absolutely nothing. They left the scene and another group of officers arrived who were drinking and proceeded not to assist me. I went to the police station where the officers chose not to assist me and refused to give me their names when asked for them.
