From my knowledge is that police officer or even a doctor will be off duty,any incident that might occur during your presence you can help out for any safety reasons or even protecting lives bad i guess i was proved wrong.Midrand SAP proved it.

I was involved in a dosmestic voilence and verbal harassment.my mom called at midrand SAP for help luckily the response was very quick and effecient due to bad communication and directions my husband was able to run away which he was that called the officers upon,i was asked if i wanted to open up a case and went straight to the station to write a statement,during that process i was asked for my personal details,that includes my contact details but i stated that my husband took all my personal belongz including my cellphone as to how will get contact for a way forward i dont know but i suggested that i should give them an alternative number but the police officer goes by the surname Maema said it wont necessary we carried with all procedures and he said he will give me letter so the doctor can fill while going for medical check ups to find out if am i seriously injured or not,but when we finished i never got a letter even a case number to make follow up i was told thy out of those documents.was told i will be contacted where and how i ddnt know,the following day i decide to make a follow and tried to call the police member who was assisting me with ny case previous night,i even went on call him on his personal number asking bout process to follow to get my case number then thats when i was that his off duty i shouldnt call him about work related issues and now being sweared and mocked about my personal information that its not his fault and business that i opened up a case on my husband,i was out of words because i mean if anything should happen to anyone we run to the SAP for safety and security but unfortunately MR Maeme proud me wrong,from what i heard he was in loud and social place and he kept on mentioning my personal stuff infront of people which i thought our information is confidential.now am here with no feedback as to what is next.i was beaten like a dog and still my husband is out there
