FORCED RETIREMENT

My father has been working in the SAPS as a driver since 2006. He was born on 18 July 1950. Because the SAPS Act does not apply to him he was under the impression that he could continue working even after the age of 65. He was not given prior notice until the day before his birthday he was told he cannot continue working for the SAPS because of his age and has been forced to sign a declaration that he gives notice to retire at the end of July when he clearly feels he is still fit to continue working and was not given enough time to prepare for retirement..<br> Procedurally this whole thing is flawed and my father has been treated unfairly because of his age.<br> I plan to seek all the legal help I can get for this.<br> <br>
