As a Dedicated hunter with the South african hunters and wildlife conservation i must say that i have never had this bad service from a police station ever . I app**** for my black powder competency in july 2014 and it was approved on the 3 rd of September and until now i never got my card or even an sms from lyttelton police station firearm division . I have been at the station a lot and all the tell me is come back next week or did you receive an sms ?? i spoke to the colonel at the station and she told me it should take about 6-8 weeks to get it and it has been 5 months now and still nothing !!! i asked for a reprint in January 2015 seeing that it might have gotten lost somewhere and still nothing . After a week i bought a pistol and handed in the paperwork at the same station until now i haven't received an sms like at my old station saying that the papers are being processed . I hope this letter to hallo peter will help and give me answers as i don't know what more to do
