********* Free Ride, Failure of SAPS

I opened a case at Krugersdorp police station in the beginning of 02 Nov 2022, CAS 112/11/2022, where I was told that the case will be opened as soon as it has been captured on the system because on that day there was no one to capture the cases opened. Two days later I received a case number and a name of a sergeant who was going to be responsible for my case. A day later I received a call from a certain Sergeant Muvhali who introduced himself as the one who was going to handle my case. Since that day after he called me, I have called a couple of times to check on the progress of the case. Since the 07 Nov he told me that he was going to apply at the magistrate to allow him to get information of the accounts from the banks concerned. I have been following up every week and to this date, he claimed he has sent a request to the banks to provide him with the details of the account holders but to no avail, because he claims the banks take a long time to give the information. I am of the opinion that he is not following up with the banks that is if he has really requested them to provide that information. So, I am afraid that the ********/********** have been given a free ride and the case will possibly not go anywhere or reach any conclusion. This is a serious failure to justice and integrity of the SAPS. It cannot take a whole month just to receive details of an account holder from a bank by law enforcement office. So, I hope someone higher can contact me and assist me in ensuring that this matter is properly investigated and resolved.
