Costing my job

I have a matter which I have been trying to resolve for several months with no progress. I was arrested in 2009 in Durban, which the case was then withdrawn.

I then app**** for a job late last year and when my fingerprints were taken, the results come back stating “case pending – awaiting trail”

I then went back to the police station which I was arrested at and spoke to the investigation officer. The officer showed me proof that he had submitted the necessary documents to get my fingerprints removed from the system at the Durban LCRC. He then resubmitted the forms and then said that the rest was up to the Durban LCRC to update my case status.

It was been 6 months since he submitted the documents but still no change. I have been trying to follow up with the Durban LCRC but the phone rings constantly with no answer. I am unable to get employment because the nature of my work does not except anyone who has a positive response when conducting ******** checks. I also cannot get a police clearance because when I try get one they inform me that I was not convicted therefore they cannot issue one.

Please assist as this is impacting my career and I have tried all avenues with no success.
