Complaint

On or during the 20 December 2021 i opened a case with Bekkersdal SAPS. I was assistrd by a lady by the name of Ngcongo who gave me an excellent service at her best. She assisted me to open a case, she took the statement and all the information she needed and she advised me to expect an sms with the case number and the name of the IO who will be handling the case. I did not receive the sms as per the agreement which i did no have a problem with, however i received a call from the accused's family on the 21 December 2021 advising that the accused has been arrested asking me silly questions but i never entertained them. I however did not get any updates from the SAPS nor case number neither any information regarding the arrest.On the 27 December 2021 i approched the SAPS for updates on the case. I was assisted by Godfrey who gave me the case number 178/12/2021 and the name of the IO handling the matter Contable Marumo as well as his numbers. On the 28 December 2021 i contacted Constable Marumo for updates on the case, he advised that the docet is at Court and must meet him on the 29/12/2021 in the morning so that we can go court and get the docet. I did as per his request but when i got to court he was not there and was advised he is attending another case in Carletonville, however he referred me to another IO forgot his name. The IO advised me that the docet is not in court it is in their office and should wait for Marumo to come back. Constable Marumo came in a hour's time with the docet. He showed no interest in assisting me with the case. I asked him what happened wth the accused and he advised that the accused was discharged with a warning. There is no court date and i do not realy understand because he was not interested in me asking him questions. I also advised him that i have a witness who can attest to the story as he saw the accused and he can direct us exactly where he placed the ****** goods. Tha IO was not intersted in that and advised me to tell the witness to call him instead of him taking the witness details and get the statemwnt from him. I am very much disappointed in this case and i am wondering where will we go if we do not get justice from the people who are supposed to protect us. Would i be wrong if i go get my belongings on my own because the person who is supposed to escort me to identify them is not interested in helping me yet he is getting paid every month for the same job he is failing to do. I am very .uch dissappointed by the service and hope i will be directed on what should i do to get my belongings without involving Police
