Bad service

There was a fire in our neighbouring house, which is a house to let that has now become a nyope hub we’ve been complaining about. After the fire was put out and the firefighters left the scene, we found one of the suspects who confirmed he knows the people who started the fire.

We took that suspect to the police station to get help around 2am. While there, the suspect started confessing that they’ve been doing ******ies in Wards 2 and 3 and *****ing phones from people, but the police did nothing about it. They told us they had something else to attend to, and the suspect was just let go. The issue was dismissed and nothing was done.

On top of that, Sergeant Simelani gave me attitude and told me to get off it, saying that people of Mohlakeng love drama and we are just causing drama. She said there is nothing fascinating about it because if the owner of the house does not come and open a case, there is nothing they can do.

The main issue here was the attitude I received from Sergeant Simelani, I am not even sure if that’s her real surname because she did not have a name tag. She showed no direct interest in addressing the matter.
