assaulted even with a protection order in place

I have been in a an abusive relatinship for years nd last week I finally put my foot down after my husband who had juat returned from prison for assault beat me.I went to get a protection order against him protecting me nd my children against him but yesterday afternoon he beat up my 14 year old babygirl on the streets strangling her with a tie whilst people of the community watched.I took my child nd rushed to the police station with the protection order seeking help but the cops on duty then didnt help me and this man is wandering the streets jst like that.He told the cops he can do whatever he wants to his family nd no one can tell him anything.IM ANGRY WITH THE JUSTICE SYSTEM AT RABASOTHO COZ THEY TAKE LIGHTLY TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND IVE HAD SEVERAL INCIDENTS WHERE I WENT TO THEM FOR HELP ND THEY NEVER HELPED, HE SEEMS TO KNOW MOST OF THEM SO THEY LET HIM GET AWAY.WHAT WUD HAVE HAPPENED IFMY BABY DIED YESTERDAY FROM THOSE BRUTAL BEATINGS???
