The other day on our way from redcross hospital to Mitchell's plain, we came across a what one could call a damsel in distress situation. A young woman was running frantically across the road trying to stop cars passing by while a male chased after her. I told my father that we should stop because clearly this lady is frantic. Long story short we stopped along with two more vehicles. Turned out the lady's car broke down at a very dangerous spot and the male pursuing her tried to rob them. Because none of us had a tow we had to wait with her and two more young ladies until they got help. I contacted SAPS to ask if they could send a vehicle out just to stay with them especially now with all this Women being ****ed I thought that they would jump at the opportunity to assist. The officer on the line refused saying that they can't send someone out. How ridiculous is that? Eventually law enforcement came out and assisted with their presence at least, Thank you to those officers who took the time to help these young woman as well as a big thank you to the other two vehicles who stopped with us with the one car staying there with us until Law enforcement arrived. I am deeply disappointed in the officer that answered that call because if we had not stop it would have been a crime scene.Our nation will die due to negligence and the way we get treated is not fair. Most officers ,but not all of them does not even have a manner to speak to one nor can they approach one properly without abusing authority.
