Affidavit

I, the undersigned,

Renie du Plessis, residing at, South Africa, hereby declare under oath as follows:

1. Introduction I am writing this affidavit to formally raise a complaint regarding the handling of a case I had opened at [PretoriaNorthpolicestation] in relation to a matter involving my stepson, Despite the serious nature of this issue, the case was closed without any proper investigation. I am deeply dissatisfied with how the situation has been handled thus far.

2. Case Details I opened a case at [Pretoria north police station], reporting financial and emotional abuse/defamation of character/got ahold of content *******ly using it against my fiance to not see his son and sending it around to other people. However, to my disappointment, no thorough investigation was conducted, and the case was subsequently closed without any resolution or explanation provided to me.

3. Attempted Resolution in January 2024 I took further steps to meet with the station commander to discuss the matter and seek an update on the status of the investigation. Unfortunately, despite my efforts, I have not received any satisfactory response or progress on the case although i had a appointment with the station commander but i was the only one that made myself available for the appointment. This has caused me considerable distress as the matter remains unresolved, and I feel that justice is not being served.

4. Escalation of the Situation The situation has escalated to a point where it has now affected my fiancé, Justin Myburgh, and his 9-year-old son, who have been unfairly drawn into this matter despite having no involvement. I want to emphasize that i myself and my fiance never intended for the innocent 9year old boy to be involved, and the situation has spiraled beyond my control, where my fiance isn't seeing his son anymore and we needed to relocate to another province just because of my content which was shared without my consent to it.

5. Request for Intervention I respectfully request that the police station reopens the case and conducts a proper investigation to ensure that the matter is dealt with appropriately. It is vital that justice is served, and the well-being of all parties involved is protected. Furthermore, I request a formal explanation as to why the case was closed prematurely and without investigation.

6. Conclusion I trust that this matter will receive the urgent attention it deserves, and I look forward to your prompt response and action in this regard.
