I don't even know where to start but this is a very long story. So basically got ****med last year and a loan was taken under my name from a service called access facility from Capitec under my name. I let Capitec know about this ordeal but they obviously told me that I need to lay this money (around 20k). I then went to the local police and reported this since it's something that was physically by a group of ********s and these people are known around that area by people who work in that area until now. The lady who handled by case at the police station had the audacity to tell me that cases like this never get resolved and get stuck at the head office in Johannesburg now I understand that they are processes in place and they can't just arrest the perpetrators like that but bare in mind she also told me that there have been many cases against these people in that very same area and other areas as well in Durban CBD but somehow were unable to catch them?? This specific incident has ruined my credit score and now I'm left to pay for this loan that I didn't eat a cent of and I'm getting calls from attorneys. I'm a 22 yr old and how am I supposed to start building my credit? I literally can't even get a phone in my name and prior to this incident happening I didn't even have store account because of the discipline I had regarding my credit but all of that has gone to waste. Our system is absolutely useless and I can't imagine that these ********s were still free after multiple offences and to prove my innocence I suppose there are surveillance cameras around right? But my issue was just brushed off as if nothing happened... now left with a loan off R20k that I need to pay off
